The hosts are friendly & particularly helpful to my needs. By going for extra mile, they ease my stress in online shopping locally when come to the concern of receiving my order through the limited time window of stay. The last but not the least is about the background mood music & fancy decors boost the vape in the common area of the guest house, that these seems minor but it matters to make it stand out in the peers, particularly, the provision of free library of Japanese comics & traveling books, full array of high-quality kitchen utensils make the difference to just an ordinary guesthouse or a choice of great cosy retreat! Good job & thank you Team Murabito Guesthouse!
Within a 5-minute walk from Lake Yamanaka that offers great views of Mount Fuji, Pension Ivy features accommodation with warm interiors and free Wi-Fi.

WE WOKE UP AND SAW FUJI FROM THE ROOM!
Super friendly and patient hosts. Loved our tatami and futon room (#203 - see pic for view).
Excellent facilities - shared bathrooms, but you select the time you want to soak in the evening, and have it to yourself.
Friendly kitties. Eclectic decor. Free coffee and tea in cafe room.
Excellent handmade soba restaurant nearby for lunch, but be aware that many restaurants within walking distance close in the afternoon. The 7-11 becomes best option for a combini dinner :)
Nearby trails for walks and cycling. Would have loved a longer stay. We got up at 5 am and were treated to clear, cloudless views of Fuji.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Yamanakako Pension Pause is located in Yamanakako, 0.5 km from the shores of Lake Yamanaka. Free private parking is available on site.

It’s a pretty house with comfortable amenities. The couples are very very helpful and fun loving. They are caring and gives good spaces. It’s 10mins walk to the lake and eateries. Very quite area.
There is a fridge, microwave to head up your own food. Complimentary tea, coffee and water.
The best thing we loved is it’s away from the city, local experience to stay with Japanese couples and their warm welcoming environment. If you want quite and clean place it’s value for money.

The location is excelent, 5 min walking to the station and 15 min to the lake. The room was super clean and the bathroom and showers as well. The receptionist was super friendly and kept the hotel always tidy and clean. It has a kitchen and washing machine which was super handy. Highly recommend staying here.

It’s really nice place in japanese style, with really nice people, Mama-San and Papa-San :) It’s like you are at home. :)
Breakfast was also really tasty, but too much for us :D we were full.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The warmth and hospitality provided a wonderful start to our stay.
The facilities, although a bit old, were maintained and clean. It was nice, that we could use bikes any time and for free. Overall, I highly recommend pension for anyone seeking budget-friendly lodging with a personal touch.
It was absolutely beautiful. Very cozy, spacious and we were fortunate to be able to see Mt Fuji right from our window. Our host was super friendly and the guesthouse was very clean.
A cosy place to stay. Felt like home to me. I travelled from Yokohama and the highway bus stopped right next to this guesthouse. Highway bus to Tokyo also stops at the same bus stop and that is very convenient. Their bike rental rate is one of the cheapest too! Thank you so much Marino and Kei for the hospitality💕 I would definitely be back in the future to hike up the trails around Yamanakako 🗻
we like that it is off the road location and therefore it was quiet. the futon were very comfortable and there were clear instructions to lay it on. host was very nice and it was a pleasant stay.
Everything! The hotel is in such serene setting that all your troubles simply go away. The host was super caring and welcoming.
It is on Yamanako sightseeing bus route which departs from platform 6 at Kawaguchiko station. You get off either one stop before Yamanakako Asahigaoka or at Yamanakako Asahigaoka as it is likely you’ll find a taxi there. It is a bit far from Kawaguchiko station, however, it is worth a visit for the peace and quiet you get.
The property was clean & well maintained and the hosts Marino and Kensuki were truly helpful, friendly, informative and informed. The guesthouse was a great value, located just steps from lake Yamanakaka, the bus stop, near an onsen and several good restaurants. There was also a common area where there was free fresh coffee available in the morning, places to store food if you wished to cook for yourself, and a dining area where we met several travellers from many countries. They also rent bicycles for a reasonable 1,000 Yen/day.
A great guesthouse in the lakes area! We're so glad we didn't stay in the much busier Kawaguchi lake area and stayed here, where it was far quieter and laid-back.
The owners are a lovely couple who are well travelled and clearly know how to run the perfect guesthouse with a chilled hostel-like atmosphere.
Our room was lovely, our first traditional Japanese style room. The whole place is spotlessly clean, warm, and cosy. We also loved the common area with kotatsu (like a Spanish brasero), books, and large, well-equipped kitchen.
lovely property, great location. very quiet and calm space. the host was very helpful! loved using the bikes.
unfortunately didn’t get to see mt Fuji due to cloud cover.
