Located with a small bakery specializing in Chiffon cake. Very comfortable and well worth the price. In the morning, we were gifted with 4 pieces of cake. It was delicious! Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Highly recommend.

The price and location can't be beat! It was very close to Kii-Tanabe station and to all the food options in the area. The host was sooo friendly and came to pick me up and show me the property, to give me recommendations for restaurants in the area, and even made reservations for me and my friends to a delicious yakitori restaurant in town. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with air conditioning.

The hoset went out of her way ti hekp us with transport of our bags for the Kumano Kodo trail, she rang the various places we were to stay and organised the transfers. The Information center on the other hand was totally useless.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.

We arrived at the guest house after walking our first day in the Kumano Kodo. We had delicious meals! One of the highlights was the Okonomiyaki! Everything was prepared with love. The host is very kind and speaks English, so we could have a very nice conversation. Thank you for having such beautiful details during our stay as part of our honeymoon :)
It's a really quiet and friendly guest house, I would book it again anytime! Everything was very clean, spacious and comfortable. I got there really good advice before Kumano Kodo.
I arrived late in the evening by train and I was happy that the guesthouse is so close to the train station. The host was very friendly. Everything was very clean and I slept like a baby because it's a very quiet place.
- Great location for the Kumano Kodo
- Ike and his wife were great hosts, served us a delicious Okonomiyaki dinner and packed lunch for the trek.
- Clean room and facilities
This was in a great location with wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the communal meals immensely and had the best packed lunch of our trip. The meals were home cooked with local ingredients. The host explained the origins of all the dishes and went out of his way to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This guest house is newly renovated with very good facilities for bathing, a communal kitchen, a dining area and new beds and bedding.
Great location across from train/bus station. Quiet, I think because it was a holiday, few people in the hostel, and downstairs bar was closed. Comfortable bed. Clean. Juan checked us in, very friendly, but no staff around after 4pm.
Generously looked after by our wonderful host Ike at this homely guesthouse. Very clean, comfortable and nice to eat dinner with other guests. Great location for Kumano Kodo walk.
Really nice place to stay, inside of an old house that serves as a coffee shop during daytimes. Miyumi is a great host and speaks English, so we chatted a bit about our Kumano Kodo trail and she gave us some tips. For breakfast she made us some delicious sponge cake to bring with us on our hike!
It's a very quiet area and in walking distance from the station, so very convenient all around.
