Episode1, hotel in Tamano

Located just less than 1 km from Hachiman Shrine, Episode1 features accommodation in Naoshima with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as luggage storage space.

This was a lovely apartment with all the amenities and a strong life saving AC that helped us survive the Naoshima heat. The location is great, conveniently located just outside the city bus stop and opposite one of the best (if not THE best) Okonomiyaki places we’ve ever been in Japan.

Yellow House, hotel in Tamano

Situated in Naoshima in the Kagawa region, with Hachiman Shrine and Ando Museum nearby, Yellow House features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

A cosy and comfortable place to stay. Quiet and a little out of the way but the island is small and so nowhere is ever too far away. Having the use of the bikes was really helpful in this regard. The simple breakfast was really appreciated when we arrived and the owner very kindly arranged to take us to the ferry on our last day. All round and overall - great and we loved Naoshima!

Konyamachi Guest House Kuku, hotel in Tamano

Located in Takamatsu, 1.3 km from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu, Konyamachi Guest House Kuku provides accommodation with a terrace, free WiFi, private check-in and check-out, and bicycle parking.

I highly recommend this hostel! The owners definitely invested a lot of love and care into this place. The rooms are not cramped as in other hostels and there is so much space. What you get in a dorm, is a box bed, with a lower and an upper a floor, where you can sleep upstairs and have your own little private space in the bottom. That's really nice to sit or just layer out all your luggage. The staff and owner are also really nice and helpful. There's a really big and well equipped kitchen. And you can chill on the roof top, where you can also hang your laundry with a laundry machine and a dryer next to it. I can only highly recommend this place. And if you're into cat: there's a cat café on the ground floor with two beautiful Sphinx cats.

Very convenient if you are traveling from/to Naoshima. Cheaper than the options in the island and the 20-minute ferry to get there is only 300 yen. The port is walking distance from the hostel. Very clean, towel provided, comfortable, excellent staff.

Very charming and beautiful guest house, but we were especially very happy with our host Yuki. She picked up our HEAVY luggage from the station so we could go to the art islands immediately after arriving in Tamano and she gave some really helpful advice for our itenary. Some earplugs (provided in the room) are helpful as there are paper walls seperating the rooms, but for us that was part of the charm. Breakfast was also nice. Would definately recommend this place!

Very charming traditional house! I stayed 2 nights in the female dorm which was so cozy, quiet and confortable. The corridors reminded me of the ones in Spirited Away film! The staff was so friendly! Lot of space, very clean, this is a peaceful place where I could have stayed longer ! I warmly recommend this place !

Nice warm sitting room to use. Yuki was a great host and made a very good breakfast. Brisk 15 minute walk to the station in the morning. Yuki also made a restaurant reservation for us and drove us to it. Downstairs rooms are divided by traditional Japanese paper walls.
