Very nice, quiet and well located, the host is super accommodating and friendly. I stayed in a single room and it was so calm and quiet I rested super well. I came in the winter, which is pretty cold in Kyoto, and the room and the whole place was nice and warm. There’s a kitchen with a fridge a microwave and kettle and a table to eat. It has a nice bathroom with a japanese style bathtub and two other rest rooms. I will definitely come back next time I’m visiting, totally recommend! :)

The house is beautiful and the hosts are really welcoming. They take good care of everything and kitchen, bathroom etc. are cleaned regularly.
Of course, this is an old house and cold in winter, but there are heaters and heating blankets everywhere to use.
We enjoyed the area a lot - there's lot of less crowded, still interesting things closeby. Many temples, shrines, canals, quiet residential areas and lots of really good food places.
Bus connections are also convenient to get to anywhere.

The service was absolutely amazing! The host provided us with a small matcha making lesson and also warm, fresh bread in the morning. The traditional Japan aesthetic was also amazing.

The host was very helpful. The location was close to trains and busses to get you around, despite quite a long way from the centre.

The place has a lot of charm. It was clean and lovely to stay in this hotel. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. In the kitchen there was kotatsu so I had a chance to experience it. Nice to experience but I would rather not stay for longer.

Fantastic studio, really spatious, with great large hard bed and western furniture. It feels a bit like staying at a fancy bar with a bathtub :D. The decor is really unique. Everything works. Location was perfect for what we needed - the conference centre. Lots of shops nearby, good transport links by bus or a metro some distance away. The owner went out of his way to help us and be nice - thank you so much!
