The view over the river is amazing - but the food server every morning and evening was a journey to explore. The host was always there to help with a big smile. We learned how to play domino - Georgia style and enjoyed the company of the family of the host.

Nino and her family were wonderful hosts. She also served up the most tasty dinner we have had during our stay in Georgia. Shenako is a very picturesque and historical Tusheti village. We warmly recommend a stay here!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Clean and comfortable stay in the mountains. The guesthouse hosts were welcoming and friendly and made sure to cater for everything. The food was incredible and the area even more amazing! I would highly recommend a stay here.
It was so nice to stay at this friendly guesthouse! The rooms are clean and cozy, everything you need for a good night of sleep. Both dinner and breakfast are plentiful and very tasty. The hosts were so sweet to pack us our leftovers from breakfast to take with us for our way down from Tusheti. The last night of our stay us and the other guests were hanging out at the fireplace outside for some time, and they provided us with freshly made popcorn. So nice! It was as if staying with family! Thank you!! ❤️
The oldest guesthouse in Omalo wirh great facilities, views and meals! And our hostess was incredibly kind and helpful, also assisting us with accommodation in another village along our hiking route and with transport back to Tevali. Highly recommended!
Bike friendly. Be sure to stay at this guesthouse. The hostess here is friendly and prepares delicious breakfast and dinner. There are also wonderful views of the mountains.
Sagrila guest house is a choice place to stay in Omalo - the host family are very friendly and helpful, and although they don't speak a lot of English, their son Giorgi helped me a lot over the phone to organise and translate, and he also helped me find a driver to and from Tusheti. I definitely recommend eating here too - the food was delicious and plentiful, and they have many lovely animals!
Guesthouse with soft bed, hot shower and tasty homemade breakfast and dinner - a perfect combination you need for hiking in Tusheti. The host is incredibly nice and helpful, he gave us recommendations for good hikes. We felt like at home here!
I suppose it’s similar to many of the other guest houses in lower Omalo.
You cannot expect luxury there.
Elisabeth herself was not there during our stay but her son Giorgi ”King of horses” was and he showed up to be a great host.
He was a good cook and served us big steady breakfast and great dinners in the evening.
Althoug it was a little chilly to sit and eat outside he warmed us up with both wine and homemade cha cha. The wi fi also worked well.
