We had a wonderful stay at Roselands. Amanda is a fantastic host, extremely welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. She even offered to bring us to a nearby restaurant, as we came on foot. The house is beautiful and located in nature. It is extremely peaceful. We had the best sleep. The accommodation is absolutely superb with a great bed, super clean bathroom, and lovely breakfast. I highly recommend a visit.

Handywater Cottages, hotel in Wallingford

Handywater Cottages offers accommodations in Henley on Thames, 15 miles from Cliveden House and 17 miles from Dorney Lake.

Natalie and Ray were exemplary hosts. Natalie provided daily breakfast choices for us. She cooked delicious breakfasts that were so filling, that we did not eat until dinner. The room was great with amenities that included the availability to wash and dry our clothes. There is a full kitchen available for us to use. The patio in the back of our room was exceptional because we sat in the afternoon sun and enjoyed the view, especially the horses. When there was an issue with a drawer in the bathroom, Ray took care of it immediately. The privacy fencing provided us with security...we did not lock our doors whenever we left the BnB. This is a ten in our book; if there were additional points we could give this BnB, we would. We strongly recommend this BnB. Great value, great breakfasts, great hosts...priceless.

Red Mullions Guest House, hotel in Wallingford

Red Mullions is a welcoming family-run guest house in Headington, excellently located for the many hospitals in Headington and the Oxford Brookes University. Central Oxford is a 10-minute drive away.

On the main bus route. Clean. Strong flow shower head. A couple of nonstandard UK outlets for which we did not have the proper adapter. Julie, our host, was very helpful in finding extension cords that would connect to the standard UK outlets that were also in the room.

Iffley Town House, hotel in Wallingford

Located in Oxford, within 2.1 mi of University of Oxford and 1969 feet of Greyfriars, Iffley Town House features accommodations with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free...

First impression tidy, nice room/amenities for the price, location a ways out of the city center but manageable by bus or 45-min walk (did several times, lots to see and an easy straight line along the main road to get to shops, museums, colleges, etc.) Housekeeping service seemed attentive and tidy in both private rooms and main areas. Nice to have access to kitchen, back patio with some chairs, washing machine.

A very interesting modern house with light, spacious rooms. A large, private roof terrace giving views over the garden and countryside made the bedroom a particularly pleasant place to relax. Breakfast was outstanding with top quality ingredients cooked to a high standard. Our hostess Shirley was friendly and charming. She created a warm, welcoming atmosphere which made it very easy to feel 'at home'. The house is located in a quiet village with easy access to many local and regional places of interest.

We had a lovely time in this charming home, though be aware that the age of the cottage means steep, narrow staircases to the room, which itself is low in places. There's no cooked breakfast option, but you don't need it. Sue's homemade granola, sourdough bread, jam and marmalade, as well as locally sourced croissants, will more than sustain you. Sue and Brendan are delightful hosts, happy to help make your stay the best it can be.

Charming hosts who were both helpful and friendly. Superb continental breakfast taken outside in the sunny garden, quite something in March! A pleasant enough manageable stroll to the town centre. The location was pretty quiet and the property itself had delightfully tranquil feel.

Lovely breakfast. Lynne was a great host and runs a good pub with friendly regulars. Our room was quiet, spotless and well decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for more and would return at the drop of a hat.
