Breakfast was good, with generous portions.
The unexpected bonus was two families of nesting storks on either side of the Landhaus! Plus a lot of other storks feeding on the golf course and river wetland close by.
If wildlife was a real hobby for me, it would be a great weekend destination. The Tierart animal sanctuary is also only five minutes away.

Great service. We arrived late and left early. Staff provided guidance and facilities to check in late which was so helpful. Dog friendly. Quiet location. Lovely well decorated and clean rooms. We did not eat so cannot comment on restaurant.

Great place to stay either for a stopover or to explore Saarbrücken and roundabouts. Spa very near (Saarland Therme). Super friendly and nice staff - absolutely exceptional in this respect.
Very calm place, no transit traffic at all. Room was newly refurbished very nicely, super large shower all functioning well!

Host spoke very good English and was very helpful. He booked us a table at a nearby restaurant, I think it was Capito Restaurant. The food and service were excellent, but probably best to avoid if you are on a tight budget. Easy to miss Haus Gebauer as you drive up the street, but the sign is more visible from the other direction. It is next to Haus Monika whose sign is very visible. Private parking is excellent. We enjoyed walking around the lovely town. The owner has taken a lot of care and attention. Would definitely recommend.
