The location is in playa tranquila, we taxi'd (use indriver or have the host help you with a taxi) from Manga in Cartagena for 71k COP (~1 hr drive). We walked from the parking lot along the beach for 20 mins to the Cabana where Manuel, the host, let us into our room hours early and prepared chairs and umbrellas for us. We were the only ones staying in one of the two rooms upstairs and it was great having hammocks and lounge chairs, amazing views and all to ourselves. I recommend swimming in the morning with a snorkel mask (he lent us some) before a lot of the fish hide from the boats!
The food was delicious (you must try the coconut rice), in large quanities and affordable. He also helps arrange tours like an evening bioluminescent plankton tour (takes about 1 hr and was ~35k cop per person) and an afternoon snorkeling 4 islands tour (90k per person). He also arranged a boat to take us straight from his place to Cartagena at the end of our stay (40k per person).
We had an amazing time there and would definitely go back!

The staff were incredible and went out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay. They helped us book transportation back and forth as well as activities. The location and amenities were better than anywhere else around there and they were fair with their prices and didn't rip us off like the other places in the area. Absolutely loved that the day beds and hammocks were free or included in their price for a room. All the other locations tried to charge us over $100usd to sit under an umbrella it's outrageous. Would definitely recommend taking a boat straight to this hostel to avoid the scammers. Once you arrive at this hostel you won't want to leave, they have everything you need to enjoy a great vacation and their prices at their bar are restaurant are cheaper than most in the area. The staff are phenomenal!

Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Very friendly and attentive staff. They organize everything you need. The hostel is an outdoor eco accommodation with cabins. Open air reception, bar, kitchen wich is very charming. Lots of hammocks around to relax. Good wifi at the reception as well as a charging station. The food was good and the price decent. Just a few minutes walk from playa Libre. Great place to absolutely relax and escape from the busy world
Sol and Camille are great hosts, there are only two private rooms upstairs with their own terrace and chill out area. The bathroom is shared and basic, but fresh water at all times. All their food is home cooked, vegetarian and very delicious. You can also refill your bottle there to reduce plastic waste. They also offer tours to different places. Be informed, there is no wifi but if you have a sim card the connections works. Electricity is only available from around 7pm -7am. Very relaxed place directly at the beach.
Located on a private beach area; quieter than most hostels. Meal options quite good. Clean establishment with friendly, available staff. Our room faced the beach, which was nice, and did not require airconditioning because of the sea breeze. Outdoor seating/lounging was pleasant.
Great location in quiet part of Playa Blanca (the rest of the beach is incredibly busy), run by two sisters. Yes it is basic, yes you have a cold shower, yes you share the bathroom but you cannot beat the location.
The location. It is infront of the beach, we took the one with the view of the sea. I was very comftable.Mrs Perse, Luis and Samir;our driver; were really great hosts.
We absolutely loved this spot. It's a bit further down the beach from the playa Blanca entrance so much more quiet. Free chairs and loungers. It was incredible going to sleep hearing the wAves and waking up with the ocean only a few metreS away. We also walked to the lagoon and saw amazing bioluminescence.

Host was super chill, let us use snorkels and sorted us out with a ferry to isla grande (took a sneaky 20,000COP cut though). Quiet end of beach. Clean rooms.
Kevin and Jaun were really nice hosts. They were available most of the time and unlike another comment, we had easy communication with them before staying and they advised us how to get to the accommodation and even came to pick us up from where the taxi dropped us and walked us to the accommodation. They provided food and drink which was nice.
The location is on a quieter section of the beach and you can have a lot of peaceful moments.
This charming hostel is run by the nicest family in an incredible shore front location along a quieter section of the playa. It was a shame we couldn’t speak better Spanish as it would have been so nice to have gotten to know them better. it was also so handy to be able to book tours and taxis directly through Sol.
