Tim is a wonderful host and his enthusiasm for people shows through in the details of the property: the cottage was perfectly clean and tidy with all the amenities that make for a perfect stay, whether overnight of for several days. He also gave us plenty of information (out of his restaurant recommendations we picked one and ended up having a memorable dinner at Eleven restaurant in Franschhoek). The cottae is in a very quiet and green setting and has a next-door nature reserve walk. It has the rustic feel of a cottage with all the modern comforts, beautiful kitchen with modern appliances, fire stove, comfortable mattresses, and plenty of pillows. Don't forget to buy one or more jars of their wonderful lemon marmalade.

The farm is sorrounded by beautiful nature. Linda prepares you well for the drive over the gravel road with exact directions. Even our small rental car made it without problems and since its only one road it is easy to find. Driving slowly you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. The best part of the stay was that I had the chance to go on trail horse back rides through these stunning fields and forests with mountain views. The horses are well trained and suitable for every level of experience. Linda was a great guide giving Information about the farm, the surroundings and the horses. She made me feel super comfortable and safe on the ride. Also a big thank you to Eunice who helped with all kinds of questions and needs like towels for the beautiful pool. I definately want to come back.

Staying at Holt Hill greatly enhanced the enjoyment of our trip. The place is incredibly pleasant and relaxing, with the added convenience of having full access to all the kitchen and garden amenities, which made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The warmth and hospitality of our hosts, the lovely Carla and her husband, were truly heartwarming; they welcomed us with open arms and quickly became dear to us. Additionally, the presence of Colada and her friend, two magnificent dogs, provided a sense of security, while the company of Ginger, an adorable cat, and the stunning peacocks added to the charm of our experience. Words fall short of capturing the essence of this place; it's something that must be experienced firsthand.

One of the best self catering designs that I have come across. There is space in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. The linnen and curtains are luxurious; comfortable stay. The beautiful surroundings create a relaxed atmosphere which were much needed and enjoyed. We also received a free bag of wood, firelighters and matches which was a lovely surprise. Thank you so much!
