They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

We felt like home, in the evening they made a fire for us. It was lovely to have a glass of wine there.

Set in Haenertsburg and only 2.8 km from Long Tom Monument, Silver Mist Resort, Haenertsburg offers accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. The Silver Mist Resort is also a horse farm. A lot of beautifull Chalets located on the farm which is mordern and has a stunning ambient. We had a comfortable and quiet night there in Chalet Nr. 3 with a wonderful view on the lake. The staff is friendly and helpfull. They offer a lot of Activities like horse riding, zip lining or hiking around the Kiwi and Avocado fields of the farm. We did the guided horse riding and can absolutely recommend it. Res is a great horse trainer and we felt really safe with him. He told us a lot about the horses and the farm on the ride. Don't miss out on that when you stay there. They also have Alpaka and Sheep on the farm. A great place for travelling with children. The owner gave us good recommendations where to eat in town. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Silver Mist Resort and extended our stay :)

Set in Haenertsburg, within 5.6 km of Long Tom Monument and 13 km of Woodbush Forest, Lakeview Cottages offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. It's a little piece of paradise. We felt so welcomed and well looked after by the owner and Charl. We love everything they did at the cottage and the beautiful garden. All the details are being taken care of. It's a pity we only stayed for one night this time but we will surely return to enjoy the garden and play with the dogs.
