This accommodation was clearly the best we have had. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are gorgeous and the breakfast was probably the biggest surprise. We were really just expecting some toast and would have been fine with that. However, the host prepared a real feast for us for breakfast and I have to say I couldn't have had a better breakfast.

Karetu Downs Farm Stay offers accommodation in Hawarden. Free private parking is available on site. The property offers farm tours, sheep shearing demonstrations and feeding. Great stay and good location for visiting the Waipara wineries. We were also well looked after by Karen and Bruce.

Set in Kaiapoi in the Canterbury Region, 24 km from Christchurch, Cavendish Farm boasts a barbecue and views of the garden. Free private parking is available on site. We could not find fault with our one night stay including breakfast. The bed was heated with an electric blanket, an extra heater was immediately provided. Cereal, fresh milk, applles etc. ready in our fridge. Parking right outside the cabin. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. A great stay which we can highly recommend.
