The renovation has been done with respect for the history of the building. Very good breakfast with products from the farm. Nice staff.

Very nice area in the middle of orchards, but impossible to get to without a car. Very helpful owner, gives lots of pointers about places to see in the area

The view and the overall feeling of the place is lovely and romantic. We enjoyed the beautiful roses outside and the landscape. The room was very spacious Good breakfast, friendly and helpful host. Great value for money.

Set in Montescaglioso, within 19 km of Casa Grotta nei Sassi and 19 km of Matera Cathedral, La Volpe e la Stella by Podere Carriero offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking... Excellent B&B, everything was superb. Our room was very clean and well-equipped, with a nice balcony overlooking the farm. Probably the best part of our stay was the breakfast, with everything fresh and eggs from the farm. The host is amazing. We stayed here and visited Matera for the whole day. We could only stay one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer.
