Hosts Stefanio (English-speaking) and Antonio were extremely welcoming. Breakfast was great and the specially prepared vegan(!) dinners in the downstairs restaurant were delicious. Local families filled the restaurant and lingered on the grounds on Sundays. Sweet dogs greeted us and Antonio's other truffle dogs ensure truffles when in season.

Our room was in a brand new building and it was very nice and really comfortable. Il Pago caters to families with children and it was fun watching them interact with the farm animals. Our lunch was fantastic. The food just kept coming and we were full for two days. 61 Euros for two people including appetizers, entrees, wine, dessert. Amazing! 15 minute drive to the beach

Situated 42 km from Pertosa Caves, Taverna Centomani offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and a bar. A wonderful find. Such warm greetings, having the opportunity to look around the working farm, tasting the amazing produce. Room cosy and warm. Dinner was so delicious.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of garden, La volpe e l'uva Dimore is a farm stay situated in a historic building in Montescaglioso, 21 km from Casa Grotta nei Sassi. The view and the overall feeling of the place is lovely and romantic. We enjoyed the beautiful roses outside and the landscape. The room was very spacious Good breakfast, friendly and helpful host. Great value for money.

Set in Montescaglioso, within 19 km of Casa Grotta nei Sassi and 19 km of Matera Cathedral, La Volpe e la Stella by Podere Carriero offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking... Excellent B&B, everything was superb. Our room was very clean and well-equipped, with a nice balcony overlooking the farm. Probably the best part of our stay was the breakfast, with everything fresh and eggs from the farm. The host is amazing. We stayed here and visited Matera for the whole day. We could only stay one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer.
