Offering a barbecue and children's playground, Agriturismo Nonna Rosa is set in Matera, 12 minutes' drive from the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great location close to the centre. Very clean and new rooms were provided. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Big and lovely room and bathroom. 4 bottles of water and coffee complimentary daily in the room. This is so nice! Breakfast was the best we had in Italy with fruits, cold cuts, eggs, breads, fresh juices, cakes, yogurt and cheese cake made in the farm. Beatrice and Pasquale are very nice and helpfull. Set just 27 km from Castle of Melfi, Agriturismo Tenuta Lagala offers accommodation in Venosa with access to an infinity pool, a garden, as well as full-day security. Wonderful place surrounded by vineyards. Good restaurant with very nice breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. Close enough to Melfi castle and Castel del Monte.

Fully refurbished rooms with comfortable beds, a giant balcony with a view over the vineyard, a warm room on a cold night, and a spectacular breakfast (the best on our trip, thus far!) with homemade cakes, cheeses and extras. We loved this stay! We felt taken care of and even spoiled for comfort. Our German Shepherd dog-child had all the room in the world to roam and was warmly welcomed. Thank you for such lovely hospitality. We also left with a great selection of goodies from the vineyard store.

Perfect location, a very quiet and beautifull place. Very welcoming and friendly service. The restaurant serves very tasty local food. Definately worth a visit.

Warm and friendly welcome and that despite it being during Sunday lunchtime. Nice, spacious, new room with everything you need and very comfortable beds. Absolutely the best breakfast served with much love and dedication.

Situated 42 km from Pertosa Caves, Taverna Centomani offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and a bar. 1 The dinner was exceptional, with items sourced from the farm or nearby farm. 2 Breakfast was also excellent. 3 we received a tour of the farm and clearly the love and respect the owner had for his animals 4 Oh, ya, great wine as well.

Set in Montescaglioso, within 19 km of Casa Grotta nei Sassi and 19 km of Matera Cathedral, La Volpe e la Stella by Podere Carriero offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking... Excellent B&B, everything was superb. Our room was very clean and well-equipped, with a nice balcony overlooking the farm. Probably the best part of our stay was the breakfast, with everything fresh and eggs from the farm. The host is amazing. We stayed here and visited Matera for the whole day. We could only stay one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer.
