Clifden
5 km from Alcock & Brown Memorial in Clifden, Fernwood offers accommodation with access to a sauna. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the farm stay free of charge. Outdoor furniture is available for guests to relax or dine outside. Very serene, beautiful place, with sauna overlooking river and the plunge pool also excellent. Anne and Simon are very friendly and gave great recommendations as to local beaches and best fish restaurants. The studio we stayed in was well appointed.

The farmhouse was a unique stay - there is a museum of sorts on the first floor that details an interesting history of the area as well as a theater where you learn about the life of Dan O'Hara. You can walk the property and see the old O'Hara house. Lots of roaming friendly animals on the property. Breakfast served each morning was delicious. The property is also connected to the city via greenway/sidewalk so it is possible to walk into town which we found to be a big bonus when we did not want to drive.
The castle tower and the farmhouse was from the 1400 and has been very well restored! There is so much history in the hotel! The rooms are not in the tower but on the newer building around the premise. The place is vast and our rooms were facing east, we were greeted by the morning sunlight! Beds were comfortable and toilet were clean!
A fabulous farmhouse annex apartment with super-comfortable beds, great facilities (including washing machine and tumble drier, though not used) and a lovely rural location only ten minutes’ drive north of Galway City
The staff were so helpful, reassuring when our car broke down.. he fixed it vernight and gave a ride into town so we could enjoy dinner and music. Self guided town walk was beautiful as was property at farmhouse
Being the first guests in this stunning farmhouse we are very impressed. It is big, bright, airy and beautifully decorated. Beds are very comfortable! It is close to all amenities! Staff are delightful and very welcoming.
We felt like royalty arriving at Clos Na Feirme. The pictures online do not show the beauty of this property. We loved the story of this farmhouse and the quality of the construction. We slept so well on the beds and loved going outside at night to see the bats.
I liked that it was so close to the black box. I will be back again and that will be my place of rest no question about it. The breakfast was so good, two runny eggs, only ever seen the west cork farm houses for privileged likable people
Excellent location, very spacious, a perfect farmhouse.
The check-in process was very easy and the home was very cozy and comfortable. We wanted a more quiet farmhouse experience and this fit the bill perfectly.
