Hotell i Back Bay, Boston

Built in 1925, the historic Eliot Hotel is located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. It offers an on-site sashimi bar and elegantly decorated rooms with down comforters and marble bathrooms. Frukosten var den enda besvikelsen. Litet utbud — jag fick be om ost och bröd att rosta — och den s k varma maten var kall. Personalen gjorde vad den kunde, men det var pengar i sjön. Resten av tiden åt jag frukt och kex från 7-11 till frukost i stället. Annars var det ett fantastiskt hotell. Trots det centrala läget var det helt tyst, och sängen var en av de skönaste jag någonsin har sovit i. ”Rummet” var en junior suite, vilket bl a innebar att det fanns ett riktigt skrivbord. Gott om utrymme att packa upp mina saker (bl a en byrå, och sängbord med låda) gjorde att jag inte behövde ”leva ur kappsäcken”, vilket var ett stort plus. Personalen var kolossalt vänlig och fick mig att känna mig hemma. Under tre dagar hade jag saker att göra i Cambridge/ Harvard, och bussen dit går strax utanför hotellet. Perfekt! Det är en trevlig del av Boston, med vacker arkitektur och mysiga Newbury Street ett stenkast bort.

I also greatly appreciated the bottled water and the free fruit provided, as well as the quality of the Wi-Fi (necessary for me as an international traveler).

This historic Back Bay district hotel is located in the former headquarters of the Boston Police Department. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel and an on-site grill is available. Very helpful staff, good location, comfy room and lovely lounge area. Perfect for a short stay in Boston.
