A 10-minute walk from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and Wat Gate Temple, Rimping Village offers comfortable accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking. Lovely little place, well kept rooms and nice restaurant / breakfast area. Good selection of food for breakfast which suited us. Quiet in the evening but that wasn’t an issue as its only a 5 minute walk to the Iron bridge (Khua Lek) with access over the Ping river into the centre of town. (There is small alley cut through!) It took us about 15/20 minutes casual walk to get into the old town but there is plenty on the way to stop off and see, drink / eat… The staff were really helpful and polite, helping us with taxi transfers and any other information we needed. We took a private taxi up to Chiang Rai (took 3 hours) There are free bicycles that we used to potter about on too! We only stayed 4 nights but the pool was an added bonus for the days we just wanted to relax. Doesn’t get a lot of direct sunshine due to the huge tree at the side of the property but again wasn’t important for our stay, as it was nice to just chill out for a few hours after a busy day. Rooms were perfect and clean, although the walls are thin (but that seems to be everywhere, not just here!) - highly recommend!

Attractively set in the Wat Ket district of Chiang Mai, Chu Hotel is situated less than 1 km from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, 1.8 km from Tha Pae Gate and 2.7 km from Chiang Mai Bus Station. This is a very nice hotel, very quiet but close enough to the Sunday night market. My room was upgraded to a suite which was very nice, and appreciated. Good facilities all round, and friendly staff.
