It is not about the stars; it is about the value of what you get. I must say the staff who work here are truly helpful and very attentive. I have some pictures I would love to share with you. The owner gave me mosquito spray because they took it at the airport. The other day, some of the friendly staff brought me a small cake to accompany my coffee after lunch because she knew I loved it from the breakfast they provide, which by the way is amazing and is included. These and many other thoughtful details with no charge were part of my stay at this hotel. The location is outside the old city and works perfectly for someone like me who wants peace and wakes up in what I called the treehouse, as my room was right at the top of a tree where I could see squirrels jumping, birds singing, and in the distance, I could see the mountains, temples, and the city. Congratulations to the entire BED group; it is a minimalist, clean, beautiful, and welcoming style.

The Hotel Journal Chiangmai ligger i Chiang Mai, 14 minuters promenad från Chang Puak-marknaden, och har en trädgård, rökfria rum, gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen och en terrass. I had a very nice week-long stay here! The complimentary breakfast was great, and I loved that the fridge was refilled daily with unlimited free water, snacks, and juices. The free in-room snacks were a unique touch, though not refilled (but that’s nitpicking!). The staff were incredibly friendly, and I even got a complimentary airport shuttle both ways. The room was stylish, very clean, and made me feel at home, just like the rest of the hotel. There’s no elevator, but one amazing tiny female staff member carried my 25kg bag up the stairs with ease before I even realized what was going on - truly Wonder Woman! The hotel is in a calm, safe area, and it was easy to get around. As a woman traveling alone, I felt completely secure even walking at night. Highly recommend!

Beautiful room, well-arranged with a cozy atmosphere, very clean. Close to the old town and many coworking spaces nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff.
