Det levede op til forventningerne plus lidt til. Vi havde et utroligt dejligt ophold. Fantastisk seng, grundig rengøring, hjælpsomt personale. Morgenbuffeten er rettet mest til asiatiske gæster, men det var dog også muligt at finde lidt fra den ikke asiatisk-inspirerede verden. Vi fik brugt deres gaming room en del - meget nostalgisk med Air-hockey og pinball maskiner (alt sammen gratis). Vi havde en 10 måneder gammel baby med og personalet var behjælpelige med højstole til morgenbuffeten og en babyseng.

Situated in Bangkok, 4.1 km from MBK Center, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. I had a wonderfull small holiday at Mandarin. It was a first experience for us at this hotel group and for sure we will try the Mandarin in other cities from now on. We had a deluxe premier room and it was very spacious, very clean, large bathroom. I appreciated the treats we received when we entered the room (fruits and candies), a personalized hand-written note, the butler’s 24h service, the sound system, the beach/pool bag… We asked for a specific higher-floor room with view towards the Icon Siam Mall and we received just that! It felt that we were trully taken care of! The pool was a good retreat after visiting the city with a perfect blend of private and nature. The ice-cream “on the house” offered at noon was a cool bonus. We could use the facilities and pool untill afternoon when we left for the airport and it was a great rest before the flight. We rented a car with deuver for Ayutthaya and it was great. The driver Kid always offered us cooling cold napkins with great smell when we finished visiting temples. He was a good guide and we had the most one could do in this 7 hour tour. Breakfast is delicious and with a variety of foods. Omlette was delicious! The boat to cross to the mall is a big plus! … and it is very nice to just take a ride. Loved everything!

Ideally located in the centre of Bangkok, Dusit Thani Bangkok offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. I stayed on Saturday night, and at the busy check-in there were some hick ups, but reception handled it professionally. Room was amazing (and quiet), I think around 50m2 and room design is a combination of modern with Thai influences. For ppl who take their work into the room, there are international electricity outlets everywhere and the amenities were hi-tech and branded. It is also easy to cast from your mobile to the tv. The bathroom has 2 sinks, a Bathtub (many mirrors) and a separate shower and hi-tech toilet. Bathrobes and towels are very fluffy and soft. Bathroom had 2 French doors so the bathroom integrates nicely into the bedroom but it also gives you privacy. View is spectacular overlooking Lumpini park and the skyline. I loved it that you can open/close the blinds from your comfy bed, especially when waking up. Fitness is basic with hi-tech machines. Both, fitness and the infinity pool have the same spectacular views as you have in your room. We had dinner at Pavillion which has Thai/chinese food which was very taste full. A bit pricey, but it is a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is also at Pavillion from 6 am to 1030 and has everything and more what you expect from a hotel of this high standard. They also have "bubbles" :) Location is in the business district. A 10 mins safe walk without any crossings to Silom road where there is a department store with ATM machines and many local shops and restaurants. A 5 mins walk more and there is a night market and the nightlife for the colourful LGBTQ community. The Skytrain and MRT are 2 mins from the department store so it is easy to get around in Bangkok.
