The rooms are spacious and there is a desk you can if you need some quiet time or plan to write something. The location is unusual, at the heart of the main tourist attractions, as it is right next to Wat Arun and the pier connecting with the Grand Palace area. The area looks more like a Thai village, but there are small restaurants all around. For any serious shopping or services such as money exchange, you may need to cross the river or go to the Itsarapaap station area, both about 5-10 minutes away. Crossing the river is a no-brainer all day long, as it only takes a few minutes and costs only 5 bhat. The hotel really feels like a Thai home, with air conditioning in the rooms but not in passageways, taking off shoes before you get in. There is a spot inside where you can make coffee or eat a snack from 5 am to 11 pm. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
