Everything. The location is perfect just next to the JR station. The room is in good size and bed is very comfy with good facilities. Breakfast is awesome. Staff is helpful.

The breakfast hall is vast and is open outside the breakfast hours (breakfast contains local dishes, and I highly recommend trying it). There, you can enjoy a working space + free coffee and tea. We also got some discounts for restaurants around the hotel, and we used this option for dinner. The street the hotel is located on is very picturesque, and we also enjoyed strolls in the neighborhood. The castle is within walking distance, as well as some shrines.

Well situated in the Aoi Ward district of Shizuoka, APA Hotel Shizuoka-eki Kita is located 800 metres from Shizuoka Station, 12 km from Shimizu Station and 200 metres from Hodai-in Temple. I loved everything about this hotel, they thought of everything, the foyer was luxurious, the staff so respectful, responsive and friendly. The bed was perfect, not like other hotels I stayed at which had hard beds. I liked that they provided fresh towels etc in a bag hung on your door, I didn't have to lock all my personals away each day. There is a microwave to heat.up your takeaway food and they have large combo wash/dryer for your laundry. To top it off, all that for under $100/night. Well done APA. 👍😍
