The staff were very courteous and spoke English well! We were greeted with a tea and snack upon arrival while they. explained the amenities to us. They took our shoes and bags and stored them as well. There was a variety of drinks and snacks available in the common room, which they encouraged us to use as an area to socialize outside our rooms. There was also a happy hour service, were they served sparkling wine and whiskey. They provided yukatas that we could wear into the common area and night wear for use in our rooms. The baths were prepared for us before our arrival and felt amazing after lots of walking in Kyoto. I wish we stayed for more nights here! Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area. Did I mention they also have a gelateria that is discounted and available to guests until 10pm!
