In einem ruhigen Viertel nahe dem Fluss Arno liegt das Hotel Orcagna nur 15 Gehminuten von der Piazza S. Croce entfernt. Wir hatten die Suite mit Dachterrasse für 5 Personen gebucht. Das Zimmer war einmalig, die Aussicht auf den Dom genial und alles sehr konfortabel an bester Lage.

Very clean, comfortable bed, very good breakfast with good price (€ 9.50/person) and you can pay for it per day of use and it has a lift. If you go by car, there are a lot of parking slots in the street (blue lines) where you pay per hour from 8AM to 8PM, and it doesn’t charge on Sundays. It’s a little bit far from where things happen in Firenze (~1.2 from touristic places), but it has a nice location, it is a safe region and you can do everything by foot. Our room has a view to the piazza Michelangelo and we could hear the party in the end of the days (we were in Florence during the weekend) and see the fireworks from our window.

Hotel Bologna is located in a quiet street, a 5-minute walk from the River Arno. Rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Bologna Hotel’s rooms have simple decoration. Very nice and clean room, quiet neighbourhood. Comfortable bed.

Reception is open 24/7. The most important thing is that as a solo traveler I felt safe. The hotel is located in the walking distance to the city center, but you don't really hear any street noise. The breakfast was continental and really tasty. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The air con was really helpful in much hotter days. You don't need more than that for a city sightseeing.
