Built in 1873 on the lush green and quiet Margaret Island in the centre of Budapest, the Ensana Grand Margaret Island offers a spacious spa area with a selection of treatments. The spa at the Thermal Spa Margitsziget has the highest quality thermal water in all of Europe with the possible exception of the one at Herviz Balaton. It looks out onto a park on an island in the midde of the Danube, so despite being in the centre of the city you feel like you are in the country. I have been coming to this hotel many years and I always get the room I ask for,

Island Hostel Budapest has a cheerful atmosphere and is located on the car-free Margaret Island, surrounded by nature. There’s a wonderful terrace where you can enjoy an incredible view, and it’s on a small island between the cities. I couldn’t have stayed in a better place than this. And the woman at the reception, whose name I can’t remember, is so helpful, attentive, and a truly lovely person. On my next visit to Budapest, I’ll definitely stay there again.
