In Glasgow’s West End, the Argyll Western Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the university and just 5 minutes’ drive from the city centre. This was a great place to stay! Its quite near a bus line that connects up to the train, which is how my boyfriend and I arrived. the bed was big and comfortable, room was spacious, and with big windows that open onto the main street (but still tucked away with privacy). The street has great coffee shops, funky cute places to eat (a ten minute walk from cotton rake, shot out! the best sandwich ive ever had in my life), music, the university and museums, the park. It was so easy to walk out the door and explore. The staff were so kind and calm and held our bags for us after checkout so we could explore a little more without the weight before we left glasgow. the breakfast included was good, lots of options, sweet dining area. Great price for all of that! would recommend for families, couples, singles, whoever.

It would be hard to list all that is wonderful about this apartment. The elegant and practical especially in the well appointed kitchen and bedrooms. So much light thru huge windows looking out into gardens and the park. It is QUIET. We were able to create full dinners from a great kitchen with everything you need to cook for guests presented in the spacious grand dining room. The owner is FANTASTIC! We encountered a medical emergency upon arrival at 11pm...Mark responded immediately with support and interest. All contact with him was immediately responded to. Best experience EVER! The park directly across the street is beautiful and if you like dogs, it's a dog haven. We walked the river trail in the park and found little penguin statues embedded in rock a wall...go find them! And if you're driving, there is ample free parking in the street in front of the building. Lastly, after driving for nearly 12 hours, we found the apartment stocked with some basic essentials like milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, fruit, coffee! This was amazing and so appreciated. We could wake up and have a slow start the next day.

The interior style of the whole building was beautiful, there were multiple cosy and spacy common rooms, common kitchen with a lot of space, gas stove, microwave etc. The staff was helpful and kind, and the location is perfect.
