This hotel is located in the centre of Dresden, a 1-minute walk from the main train station. All rooms at the Hotel Kipping include cable TV and a work desk. Awesome location. Walk 4 minutes across street from train station and walkable to restaurants, shopping, and 20 minutes walk to old town. Very quiet and comfortable. Good size rooms. Staff were warm and welcoming. Good a/c. Would stay again!

This apartment was about a 15 minute walk from both the train station and the city center. I did it easily with my luggage in both directions. It was up one flight of stairs only and the host helped me with that. He was on site when I arrived and check in was easy and quick. The room was just as pictured, kitchen had everything I could need, and the grocery store was just a few minutes walk. People mention the parrots - they were totally silent at night and I loved seeing them when I arrived and left (it’s a rescue, they were so pretty, and just made the place unique).

The location was really good for just wandering into Dresden, the entire place made our time in Germany so much nicer. Honestly can't recommend it enough.

Ferienwohnungen Villa Haniel Julius is situated in Dresden, 1.7 km from Grünes Gewölbe, and a garden and a terrace are available in-house. The accommodation is 1.8 km from the Zwinger. Luxurious and spacious, quiet, and only a 2K walk to the Semperoper, where we went 4x for Wagner’s “Ring”. A perfect arrangement for us! Grocery across the street, fun beer pub around the corner. What more do you need?

While this is a couple of kilometres or more from the centre of Dresden, it was easy to acccess the city centre by bus, and the walk from the station, though up a gentle slope, is manageable unless you have heavy luggage. As this is a self-catering arrangement, the Konsum store across the road is very convenient.
