Staff are exceptional.They are friendly,helpful and would go out of the way to help their guest.A special thank you to two staff members,, Zoey and Ivy. Zoey helped us to liaise with our tour guide as we had no means to make local phone calls.She was always cheerful and happily offered her help. Ivy ,a very kind and caring young lady ,accompanied us to the local hospital when we had a medical emergency..She did this on her own time.She helped us to translate and navigate through the procedures in a Chinese hospital.It would have been difficult without her help.We are forever grateful to Ivy.

There is a few shopping malls near the hotel. A few streets from the hotel there is also a local fresh market which you can explore. It was a pleasant experience.

Situado no centro de Kunming, o Gongxili - Pujian Hotel oferece quartos com ar-condicionado, WiFi gratuito, estacionamento privativo gratuito e serviço de quarto. The location was excellent, within 10 mins walking distance to cuihu lake (beautiful lake with wenlin st closeby where stylish cafes and bars are). It is also walking distance to the city centre (about 4km) where the old street and shopping streets are. The property was stylish and the room was very clean, complete with room amenities. It had a water dispenser for hot and normal water which was handy. The flower cake provided was very yummy too. The room itself was modern (room and toilet) and the bed was comfy. Very great value for money. I also loved there was a skewer street vendor right outside the hotel and I greatly enjoyed sitting outside with a beer and some skewers at night.

Good place to stay, with a 20 minutes walk to the central railway station in interesting areas, many parks nearby, and a big shopping mall approx 5 minutes by taxi. Restaurants and shops nearby and really a non-touristic area, that suited me very well. The positions on booking.com wee not correct, two taxitrips were needed to find the hotel, but once there, everything was ok. Remember to bring cash! ATM 10 minutes away.
