The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is located in 4 historic palaces in the centre of Vienna and combines luxury with contemporary design. A 24-hour room service is available. Excellent breakfast with lots of options. Friendly personal service, with the opportunity to order from an ala carte. Friendly staff. Hotel quite near to a metro stop. The whole hotel seems to be scented, which is pleasant but odd. The gym downstairs is well-equipped for most people, swimming pool is large enough for a little swim and some lounging around. Loads of options for food and drinks, surprisingly fairly priced. Surprisingly not obscenely expensive for a single room during a time when all the hotels in the area were booked.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, and we were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded. We were truly grateful for the gesture, which enhanced our overall enjoyment of the trip.
