We reserved the old house with 2 rooms. It has spacious rooms and nice bathroom, with a lovely garden and flowers all around. The house is very nice with the tiles on the facade, its wooden floor and painted walls. It has a big fridge that is useful as well. The village is in a magical place surrounded by mountains that look like in a fantasy land. We loved it! Food and beer is just perfect! Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Conacul Grecului 1 ligger i Iloviţa, 14 kilometer fra Iron Gate I og 32 kilometer fra Rock Sculpture of Decebalus, og har overnatting med hage med en terrasse, utsikt mot fjellet samt gratis WiFi. Some of the friendliest hosts we ever met, even with my limited knowledge of Romanian we had great conversations. And: the best afinata in the world is served here :) Very happy dog as well.

Featuring a garden, shared lounge and views of garden, CASA NIRVANA is situated in Dubova, 4.7 km from Rock Sculpture of Decebalus. My wife and I (an Aussie and an Italian) stayed at Casa Nirvana for two wonderful nights. The property is perfectly pristine, with a tranquil garden which has a lovely koi pond. You wake up to the sounds of birdsong and roosters and a coffee made by the host. Tarzan and Mișa, the hosts’ pet dog and cat, are beautiful members of the family. The hosts, Sever and his wife Silvia, are possibly the nicest people you will ever meet. They really made us feel at home and did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our time in this stunning part of Romania. No sooner had we arrived and dropped our luggage off in our amazing room with an equally amazing view, Sever took us to a pier and organised for us to take a sightseeing boat trip, which was great and is a must do. Silvia even gave my wife a pair of her shoes (their feet are the same size!) and a pair of socks so we could walk up to the viewpoint looking out over the Danube on the nearby Ciucarul Mare the next day. We enjoyed a lovely dinner (țuica, mici, mustard and beer!) in the garden kitchen with our generous hosts on our last night. A truly unforgettable experience. We will be back for sure. Perfect house away from the bustle of the city located in calm and quiet area in Petrovo Selo. Easy to be found using google map. House is very clean and equipped with everything needed for stay. BBQ and sauna facilities are awesome. Hosts are great and very supportive. Looking forward to see you again! Please note that nearest stores and restaurants are >10 km away so you need to take care about food and drinking water.
