This accomodation was great, I fully recommend! I stayed for a week to explore the National Parks in the area. The place is neat and clean with furniture in good condition and everything is functional. There’s AC in the room as well. The garden is lovely and there is room for several cars. The location is also very good, it’s about 20 mins away from Nera-Beusnita National Park. The owner is very kind and he draws you a map how to get to the attractions. He will also exchange your money should you need it. There are two small stores nearby.

About 300 Czech residents live here – this is one of the most significant Czech community in Romania. You can speak Czech here, and find excellent local beer and tasty food (traditional Czech meals, but also with some impact of Romanian culinary tradition).

The room seems to have recently been recently refurbished. Everything looks new. The hostess was very friendly and spoke good English. She was very kind and helpful. The local area is very pretty. The river Nera is nearby, with some nice walks to enjoy.

CASA NIRVANA er staðsett 39 km frá Járnhliðinu I og býður upp á gistirými með garði, sameiginlegri setustofu og sameiginlegu eldhúsi, gestum til þæginda. My wife and I (an Aussie and an Italian) stayed at Casa Nirvana for two wonderful nights. The property is perfectly pristine, with a tranquil garden which has a lovely koi pond. You wake up to the sounds of birdsong and roosters and a coffee made by the host. Tarzan and Mișa, the hosts’ pet dog and cat, are beautiful members of the family. The hosts, Sever and his wife Silvia, are possibly the nicest people you will ever meet. They really made us feel at home and did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our time in this stunning part of Romania. No sooner had we arrived and dropped our luggage off in our amazing room with an equally amazing view, Sever took us to a pier and organised for us to take a sightseeing boat trip, which was great and is a must do. Silvia even gave my wife a pair of her shoes (their feet are the same size!) and a pair of socks so we could walk up to the viewpoint looking out over the Danube on the nearby Ciucarul Mare the next day. We enjoyed a lovely dinner (țuica, mici, mustard and beer!) in the garden kitchen with our generous hosts on our last night. A truly unforgettable experience. We will be back for sure. Seoska kuca Stojanović er staðsett í Kladovo, í innan við 33 km fjarlægð frá Cazanele Dunării og býður upp á gistirými með loftkælingu. Perfect house away from the bustle of the city located in calm and quiet area in Petrovo Selo. Easy to be found using google map. House is very clean and equipped with everything needed for stay. BBQ and sauna facilities are awesome. Hosts are great and very supportive. Looking forward to see you again! Please note that nearest stores and restaurants are >10 km away so you need to take care about food and drinking water.

Casa de Vacanta Potoc er staðsett í Potoc á Caraş-Severin-svæðinu og er með garð. Gististaðurinn státar af sameiginlegu eldhúsi og grillaðstöðu. Lovely and helpful host. Great location, very cosy and clean. We would have loved to spend a few more days in this beautiful place.

Conacul Grecului 1 er staðsett í Iloviţa, 14 km frá Járnhliðinu I og 32 km frá klettahöggmyndatökunni í Decebalus. Boðið er upp á garð- og fjallaútsýni. Very authentic and local night at Greco's house. The wife and the husband are lovely and welcoming. We shared good food, stories and palinka of course. I strongly recommend it for foreigners looking for a local experience.
