It has spacious rooms and nice bathroom, with a lovely garden and flowers all around. The house is very nice with the tiles on the facade, its wooden floor and painted walls. It has a big fridge that is useful as well. The village is in a magical place surrounded by mountains that look like in a fantasy land. We loved it! Food and beer is just perfect! Hosts were friendly and helpful.

One could start with the local hikes - for those who walk long hikes yet at an easy pace try the ecological paths around. At the end, one could indulge in homemade spreads such as acacia and wild apples. There are lively morning coffee talks in a relaxed and stylish courtyard. The house itself is a renovated local house. We hope to come again next year.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Conacul Grecului 1 is set in Iloviţa, 14 km from Iron Gate I and 32 km from Rock Sculpture of Decebalus. Some of the friendliest hosts we ever met, even with my limited knowledge of Romanian we had great conversations. And: the best afinata in the world is served here :) Very happy dog as well.

The host waited for us with the fire on and a warm welcome. The house was by far the cleanest we have ever booked, and it provided us with everything we needed. We were there for three weeks and enjoyed the lovely garden in spring very much. Kladovo is actually quite near for shopping and restaurants, and everyone speaks Romanian there.
