Aldwark Manor is the ideal place to relax after sightseeing in York, Harrogate and the surrounding areas. The building itself had recently undergone a major renovation, so everything was new. A beautiful victorian manor, the renovations have maintained the charm of the place while providing modern amenities. Very well done. The staff were great - extremely polite and helpful, we lost our luggage en-route and the staff helped us to recover it. I think they went the extra mile. Breakfast (full English) was cooked to order and very tasty - proper bacon and sausage, also very good selection of bread, spreads etc. The dining room and bar areas very well designed, retaining the We also went for a walk around the grounds, over a bridge and down the river, about 1 hours walk - very nice, everything well maintained. Also the location was excellent - rural but only 25 mins drive to York centre.

Dating back to 1693, the family-run Littlebank Country House is in a rural location on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. With free Wi-Fi throughout and free onsite parking, it also offers a games room with billiards and a dart board. Beautiful house with lots of character, very friendly hosts and a great breakfast. Very relaxing, will definitely be going back.
