We arrived and were told by Tania that we'd been upgraded. What a surprise. It was perfect, right on the breathtaking river, with so many facilities to enjoy. I thoroughly recommend this place, I can't imagine it getting any better than this.

Beautiful, peaceful location just above the river (Rio Paiva), a very clean river. The owners were attentive: at first we had no hot water but as soon as we mentioned it, the owner came and turned it on at a switch we hadn't discovered!
There is a wood-burning salamander in the living room, as well as a plug-in heater in the bedroom, very cosy if the weather turns colder. Fuel was left ready for us to use. There is a nice covered veranda where you can sit outside with a drink or light meal. There were plenty of towels and warm bedding. The nearby village has a couple of well-stocked mini-markets and cafés.

The location was beautiful! A peaceful, quiet place where the room had a lovely view and there were so many places to take a walk nearby! Breakfast was incredibly tasty as well, and the house was clean and tranquil. Staff were so very sweet and accommodating as well.
Padaria Farmhouse was a great surprise, we loved the quietness and connection with the natural surroundings, the experience was super peaceful and reinvigorating, and the food from dinner and breakfast was the most honest and tasty we have had during our trip, plus the Vinho Verde :) Maria is also a great host and gave helpful tips for the area and we really enjoyed the conversations we had, just go and enjoy, we will surely come back!
