The hosts were delightful, interesting, and informative. They have a beautiful piece of land with breathtaking views on the trails surrounding the house. I appreciated the solitude of the property, the fresh air, and the close proximity to the Caldas de Monchique. There is also plenty of room to sit outside to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings and the beautiful night sky.

The breakfasts were incredible, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee, lovely breads, jams, cheeses, hams and anything else we desired. There was a dining room in the main house but we enjoyed our breakfast delivered to us each morning at a flexible time.
The owner was charming and accommodating making us feel “at home”.
We had a comfortable private terrace which was nice in the forest surroundings.
The town was a surprisingly short drive away given our quiet forest surroundings.

The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
The old town of Monchique with its narrow cobbled streets is charming, but one has to accept the corollary that accessibility is more difficult. Despite being on the street the apartment was extremely quiet and peaceful, as there really are no passing cars. Great walks within easy reach.

Location was great. In the countryside so it was very quiet but very close to the town. The accommodations were excellent - everything you needed was there and the landscaping around it was so pretty.
The bed was comfy, as was the sitting area and the kitchenette was well supplied with necessities.
Very peacefull environnement, fantastic views from the rooms with balcony. Nice garden and pool. Perfect breakfast, with lots of fresh fruit and adjusted to my diet. Very friendly and helpfull hosts. Slept very comfortable on those nice beds. Great for hiking and visiting the south coast. In the neighboorhood some good restaurants.
