The hosts, the views, they do laundry for guests who stay 3 nights or more, gorgeous garden, the BBQ area, the hammocks, beautifully appointed apartment with kitchen. Povoacao is a brilliant place for kids with an infinity pool, play area & mini golf (all free) - 5 minute drive away. Breakfast was tasty.

At first, we thought that finding a place to sleep in the Nordeste area might be a problem, but it turned out that getting there was easy, quick and pleasant. We managed to tour the entire island. The place itself is a great place to go with a small group of friends. Peace and quiet and beautiful views. The swimming pool, even when cold (we were at the beginning of May), is illuminated and refreshing. A very nice treat for visitors in the form of local products. Great contact with the landlord. The house itself is very well equipped, perfect for a few days. A big plus - a washing machine and super comfortable mattresses (they come in handy after an intensive tour of the island ;))

We enjoyed our stay at the Old Tea Factory. We stayed for 7 days with 2 adults and 1 child.
The house was clean and organised. It’s located in a small (calm) village near the sea. Every night you can watch the sunset from your balcony or by the pool, simply breathtaking.
You can start walking towards the mountains just by leaving the house using a calm road. The road next to the house also doesn’t have alot of traffic. We saw the locals walk there every night towards the viewpoint.
We could recommend this to anyone!

The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
the apartment is well equipped and the location is perfect to visit Sao Miguel. Off course, a car is needed, however within 20/30 minutes by car you can see huge amount of wonderful places.
Riu, the host, will help you a lot, just ask to him.
additionally, walking for 15 minutes you will reach a wonderful mirador where you can have pic nic or cook your food while admiring the sea.
There are very few cars using the streets around the house during the day, and almost none during the night. So, the apartment is absolutely quiet.
Manuela was a great host! She took care of all our wishes and we enjoyed two of her homemade dinners which are sooo delicious!
The house is modern with cute decorations and is quiet with an amazing view.
If you are on Sao Miguel, you just have to stay with Manuela! :)
The living room overlooks green fields and cows in them plus hortensia plants, of course:-) as well as the ocean further back. It`s a very nice view to enjoy while staying inside the house or outside it (terrace) if you like the countryside, peace and quiet. The neighbourhood is really quiet, the road outside the house is not a main road so traffic is occasional. The owner was helpful and ready to react when we had questions.
I thought the property was very nice. Everything you could possibly need was available The neighbourhood was quiet, all amenities were relatively close. I would definitely recommend this property.

Big cozy room with view of the beautiful countryside in the stunning location of Algarvia, very peaceful location close to the ocean, cliffs, forests and mountains, ideal for quite and/or active holiday.
Shared rooms are nice, big, well-equiped, monstrous TV.
We were the only guests and had all the beautiful house for ourselves, the stay was very pleasant.
The staff doesn't speak the best English, but is always helpful.
What a wonderful place. Manuela built a lovely home and offers to share it with her guests. You can even taste her delicious secret recipes. The location is fantastic, although you will need a car to get around as there's not many options for food. The house is spotless, and has all the main amenities, especially the kitchen. The terrace has the most beautiful view and the area is very quiet at night.
