New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, hotel in Rydal

Set in 6 acres of gardens, New Dungeon Ghyll is a family-run hotel featuring an excellent restaurant, and rooms with dramatic views across the Langdale Valley.

Superb location. My room was super quiet, for a change with a hotel room! I had dinner at the hotel, in the walker's bar, outside actually as the September weather was perfect. Very tasty pie, mash and veg. Excellent real ales, and then you've also the Stickle Barn bar nextdoor for real ales too

The building and grounds are picturesque and so very Lake District. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The room, while basic, was comfortable and peaceful. It’s in a great location with ease of access to many places and is opposite Wordsworth’s cottage! I was staying at the front of the hotel and the WiFi was superb.
