The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

The room was beautiful, bed very comfy and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Will definitely be back. The breakfast provisions and bottle of wine was a huge bonus, thank you.

Overall, a lovely experience in a beautiful and very comfortable accommodation. Staff was helpful and personable and took good care of us. Social rooms were decorated for the holidays and I wish we could have explored the pretty grounds. Stayed on either end of our trip and, if available, will definitely return.
