The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

Set in 125 acres of formal gardens, this 13th-century double-moated castle offers luxurious yet modern bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Bed is really comfy. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall a lovely place to visit and spend a night in.

Set in Bradford on Avon, in a historic building, 11 km from University of Bath, The Hall is a recently renovated country house with a garden and terrace. Had a fabulous stay, was made to feel very welcome on meeting Christine at check in. The room was beautiful, bed very comfy and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Will definitely be back. The breakfast provisions and bottle of wine was a huge bonus, thank you.
