This is an excellent hotel in a 200 year old property which I understand opened in October 2023, with 8 bedrooms. It is accessed along a small ,narrow country lane and the caretakers had sent us a message two days before check in with a mobile phone number to call, this automatically opens the gates . The hotel and its setting were a surprise for us as it is in a completely rural setting with lovely gardens. The hotel supplies continental breakfast but has no restaurant yet, I understand that one is planned , together with a liquor license . There is a communal kitchen guests can use to cook supper and use the breakfast room to eat , we brought food and it worked perfectly . The breakfast room also has tables outside in the garden and a BBQ and hot tub nearby . There are 2 cosy lounges with comfortable armchairs looking onto the garden and one has a TV. The caretakers, Chelsea and Daren met us on arrival and took us to our room , they live on the premises and are both very helpful . Our room had a beautiful garden view , a desk and chair ,TV, and a very comfortable bed , the en suite shower is very large and efficient . Wifi throughout the property was fast and all the traditional windows have double glazing so property ,although old, is warm . The gardens are quite large and worth exploring , there are horses and ponies on site . We had a very enjoyable one night stay on our way to the airport , we will stay again.

The Wood Cottage ligger i Scarborough, blot 14 km fra Peasholm Park, og tilbyder indkvartering med udsigt til haven, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. We stayed in the Wood cabin, and it was comfortable, clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet and equipped with everything you could possibly need to be self-sufficient. Sandra and David were wonderful hosts and were on hand to provide and assistance, a fabulous breakfast each morning and to start the day with a laugh (thank you David). No problems with parking, which is very secure and it's a good location to catch the steam train from Pickering to Whitby.
