Breakfast was excellent. Katia, the Property Manager was fantastic! She could not have been more accommodating or helpful. She was one of the highlights of this stay! Although the drive up the mountain was a bit challenging from someone not from Portugal, it was well worth the drive. The view from our balcony with the sunrising over the mountains was spectacular. It was extremely quiet. Highly recommend staying here. The small village of Mesao Frio was also a total delight.

This place is absolutely magical. The property is stunning, but it's the character of the place and the vibe that made it special to me. You feel pampered and in a luxury environment without it being stuffy. You can casually meander down to the river and grab a kayak, take some yoga mats to the deck, or take bikes out and head to the nearest vineyard. Plus excellent food, service, and views. They got all of the details just right.

The bungalow was fine for 3 people - i stayed in the sofa bed, clearly less comfortable than the bed, but still fine. Owners were flexible regarding the check-in time and allowed us to access the property early. Location is good and, for 3 people, it came out at 40 euros per person, per night, which was not bad.

Where to begin.. The property is very clean and private. It’s a privately owned home in the middle of wine country. The owner Carla and her family were very nice and accommodating. We were treated like family by them and their super friendly cat HAPPY. Amazing hosts. Highly recommended.

Every part of our stay was brilliant. The staff couldn't do more for us and very friendly. We had booked a room with a private pool and it was fantastic, a completely relaxing little haven. We ate a few times in the evening at the restaurant which is a set daily menu of 3 courses and we also did the on-site wine tasting which I would highly recommend. The other thing we did was order the picnic one evening which was lovely, all freshly prepared and delivered in picnic baskets to our room.

The whole experience was fabulous on arrival the hosts Eliza and Ines were very warming and charming people, Everything was polite helpful and what an amazing place, The views were spectacular over the river and it was so peaceful we wished we had booked longer to discover this region of Portugal, room excellent, breakfast excellent ,and the home made cakes to die for would love to go back and spend more time relaxing there with a glass of wine and takig in the unforgettable views,
This hotel was a top highlight of our trip to Portugal. The pictures don't do this view justice; it is fantastic. Our host was amazing and treated us like family. The room had an exceptional view, and the hot tub, pool, and lounge area were amazing. I was so sad to leave!
Also, originally, I thought that this was not in as central of a location in the Douro Valley. After having visited, I think that the location is one of the best in the valley and possibly the best view in the Douro Valley.
Beautiful views overlooking the Douro, modern style rooms and great facilities such as pool, Turkish steam room, sauna and hot tube. Loved the atmosphere and style of the hotel as well as the connection with the winery.
Incredible view of the Doruo River. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the surroundings. Very peaceful. Great breakfast too. And loved the hot tub experience, again with an amazing view.
We had a fabulous time and only wish that we could have stayed longer. Besides a tasty breakfast, we enjoyed a delicious supper that included vegetables produced on the property. The staff very kindly prepared both meals gluten free, which we so appreciated. The old-style decor of the guest house is charming and interesting. Our evening walk through the terraced fields of the property caught gorgeous views of the Douro valley as well as the setting sun. The staff of the guest house were welcoming, friendly and attentive.
Amazing place with a wonderful view. Located among spectacular hills and vineyards. Beautiful, well-kept hotel area. Great accommodation, airy, good equipped, stylish and cozy. The staff was very kind and hospitable. Delicious breakfast with fresh homemade pastry. Highly recommend.
We stayed in the large house. It is huge, spacious, comfortable and pleasant. A decorated tree was waiting for us at the entrance. The fire was burning in the fireplace and the atmosphere was wonderful. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the spaces outside, despite the cold. We also liked that the kitchen is equipped with lots and lots of dishes, cookware, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, etc. Very comfortable! But there are no basic essentials such as olive oil, salt, sugar, etc. So stock up in advance!
