The hotel is in a very nice location, though further away from the main "towns" of the region. All the common areas are excellent, the heated pool a real treat, AMAZING breakfast and something worth mentioning, they offer many indoor activities like board games and a pool table (important when the weather is not the best like in our case). Everyone is extremely polite and helpful! We loved our stay there!

This place is really amazing. We had a great stay. Breakfast was fantastic and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. The bungalow was fine for 3 people - i stayed in the sofa bed, clearly less comfortable than the bed, but still fine. Owners were flexible regarding the check-in time and allowed us to access the property early. Location is good and, for 3 people, it came out at 40 euros per person, per night, which was not bad.

Superb in every way. Our best self catering accommodation in Portugal for years. From the greeting on arrival with a glass of wine, to sitting on the terrace with a wine of dinner watching boats on the Douro it was perfection. We will be back at the earliest opportunity. Great restaurants nearby if you feel the need to leave. Try the train from the nearby station to Pinhao or further, a magical ride.

The wine making tradition is very present in the first floor of the house, making it rough but comfortable to be in. A lot of tiny little details made the overall experience really pleasant. The second floor (bedrooms and living room) are also super comfortable, specially with the fireplace warm in a cold night. The views and the surroundings are also pleasant. The host, mr. Fortunato was very kind and careful even remotely.
