The arrival was so off putting that we abandoned our reservation altogether and found alternate accommodations. The proprietor was supposed to call me back to discuss the situation and I never heard from him.

It was very nice to be by the water. The breakfast was good once I was able to inform the cook that there was no more coffee or eggs and it was replenished.

So I go to Boothbay every year at least once a year.
So I go to Boothbay every year at least once a year. I stay somewhere new almost every time, while my parents prefer the same old places repeatedly. The food is good, prices in the shops are reasonable. It's a sleepy harbor town, so don't expect night life or excitement but that's what we love.

loved the vibes of the town first of all.. everyone felt like a neighbor so warm and welcoming! We loved the Bistro Tapas place ..went there three nights. Waves for breakfast was wonderful and we found a little hot dog place a bit off the beaten path that we really enjoyed. A few of our group members took the Captain's Whale Watch....no whales so they were given a free return pass. There was a wonderful courtyard that we spent some time at meeting people...too bad we couldn't bring our beers out there.
We wanted to rent the e-bikes to see the town and our of the way places and we had hoped to rent a kayak but time just was way to short.
one shop we absolutely loved was something called Mungbean? A must see !!!
And of course the Botanical Gardens. How awesome was that!!!

I have been here before.
I have been here before. There is so much you can see and do around the area. Across the footbridge there are multiple shops and restaurants. Also within a short drive are the botanical gardens and a small aquarium.

Boothbay Harbor is a wonderful place to stay, enjoy the harbor, and eat some fantastic seafood. The town is fairly walkable with close proximity to shopping, restaurants, harbor tours and views. It's a great area to see a little of what the Maine coastline has to offer. Not to be missed is the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in nearby Boothbay.

The hotel is excellent and well maintained, and is located on the harbor. We had a shaded balcony that faced the harbor, which was a great bonus - fun to see the fishing boats come and go. Very friendly staff and close to restaurants and shopping area. Would come back anytime.
Hotel well located at the end of the point and it offers amazing views on the sunset (right in front of the hotel). Close enough go Boothbay Harbor at walking distance (35-40 minutes). Perfect if you travel with your dog... very dog friendly. Cocktail's price expensive.
The Hotel is perfectly located at the waterfront with a lovely view and it is very quiet: end of dead end road.
The staff at the reception was extremely nice and welcoming.
We loved the location of the Inn. Right on the water, next to the Tugboat Inn Restaurant. Also could walk to the city of Boothbay Harbor, shopping and restaurants.
