We had a great breakfast, loved the waffles. Location was great directly on the fjord.
Lounge area was very relaxing with beautiful view's. Bed's were very comfortable.
There was a hot tub which looked great, but unfortunately we couldn't use it as it was booked out. Best to book in advance.
We ended up going to a floating sauna near by which was amazing.

We arrived at the property around 3 p.m., only to find no one at the reception. We called the provided number, and were informed that the receptionist would not be available until 6 p.m. Thankfully, they left a key in the cabin, allowing us to enter. However, upon entering, we noticed an unpleasant smell, possibly from mold, and the bathroom appeared quite dirty. We were very disappointed with the condition and location of the property and decided to leave without staying. We requested a cancellation, but unfortunately, the owner declined. Overall, our experience was highly disappointing.

Really nice house with a stunning view. We stayed here during Christmas and New Year’s Eve and had a lot of snow, which created a very nice atmosphere. The house is quite new and was really clean. Contact with the owner was pleasant and they responded very quickly. The ski resort was also a pleasant surprise, both for beginners and advanced skiers.

We enjoyed our stay at this place in August '24. The house is cosy, has all the necessities and is located in a peaceful area. It also fits great for exploring Sogndalsfjøra and its surroundings. Wifi is good and stable. We had a couple of good nights there, despite the heavy rainy weather.

Spectacular location, immaculately clean, wonderful staff, free parking, plenty to see and do in the nature that surrounds it.
We stayed in a cabin with shared bathrooms. There were three cabins in a row with 2 toilets and a shower area nearby - all spotlessly clean.
The cabin was wonderful and had 3 single bunks and 1 double, a lovely seating area and outdoor patio with stunning views and a great kitchen. We left wishing we could stay longer and would definitely recommend this accommodation to others visiting the area!

Loveliest host, food was amazing - wanted to stay longer
Lovely location on the Fjord. Gorgeous. Not a whole lot to do except short hikes along the Fjord, or going on organized tours. In general, it is a good idea to check hiking possibilities on online sites before going somewhere in Norway. When the fjords are very steep that there aren't many easily accessible hikes, which we didn't anticipate. But the walk along the Fjord was jaw-dropping and you can go a long way.
We tried to rent a bike and the minimum rental period was 3 hrs, and we didn't have that much time.( It is a small place so an hour's rental would have sufficed. )
The glacier museum was nice for 60-90 min.

For those who love Norway's mountains and green farmed...
For those who love Norway's mountains and green farmed glacial valleys all topped by Europe's largest Ice Field, this place is as picturesque and likable as anywhere on Earth. The Glacier Museum in Fjaerland sports a riveting breathtaking 20 minute flyover surround video of the Jostedalsbreen Ice Field. With all this, it's also quiet and peaceful - not overrun by tourist buses at all

Staff is very good and the hotel is well presented.
Staff is very good and the hotel is well presented. One must be aware it is not a modern building and therefore do not expect modern luxury but it is a true experience. Location and views are amazing. Price is too high though all considering.

GEM OF A PLACE HIGHLY RECOMMEND Food was out of this world local produce, beautifully presented and so tasty.
Lovely selection of beers and wine.
Views of fjord from inside (lots of windows) and outside terrace that sits on the water/fjord that wraps around building.
A unique and personal hotel with lots of character and gorgeous decor.
Rooms individually decorated and very cosy and comfortable.
Staff unbelievably friendly.
We did the floating sauna and swim 2 mins down the road and the glacier museum.
Superb location – the hotel is near the village of Fjærland and is a walking distance from Jostedalsbreen glacier. You feel close to nature and get to explore the beautiful landscapes of the region.
The location off the beaten track but within easy reach of glacier viewing. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Quirky and comfortable accommodation. Made a welcome change from touristy hotels.
Nice breakfast, nice view from the room, large parking next to the hotel.
Friendly staff.
Delicious dinner, vegetarian dinner could have been more special.
Quiet.
