We loved this hotel! The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. The welcome drink and focaccia with pesto on the terrace was a lovely touch as was the free shuttle into town. The views from the restaurant / terrace and from our room were breath taking. The spa was a great addition for a rainy morning activity - good facilities and immaculately clean.
We visited out of season so sadly the roof top restaurant was closed but will hopefully be back next summer!

We had a classic double room, which was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking Rapallo harbour. The bathroom was great, very spacious. The hotel itself is stunning, old-world glamour and luxury, with wonderful staff, particularly the barman. The food was superb, we loved everything about it and would definitely come here again. It was raining heavily so we didn't explore the grounds, which just means we'll have to go again and do it next time. Loved Tequila, the hotel cat, who was a real bonus!

Rapallo is a lovely town, with great facilities. We used it as a hub to travel by public transport to the places we wanted to visit.
We went by ferry to Portofino (or bus, if the weather stops the ferries running) and by train to Genoa, Pisa and Cinque Terre.

Rapallo is a great base for the Ligurian coast.
Rapallo is a great base for the Ligurian coast. Not as spectacular as the Cinque Terre, or Portofino, but so much more pleasant. And so much less expensive and crowded. For me, Rapallo had the ideal mix of tourists and locals. And great access to trains and ferries to visit other towns on the coast.

Rapallo is a nice and interesting city with good public transportaron. The city itself has to keep an eye on the way they "sell" to tourists. On my opinion, after visiting Rapallo for more than 30 years, it seems its going a little backwards: watch out!

We absolutely loved Rapallo, easy to get to Cinque Terre...
We absolutely loved Rapallo, easy to get to Cinque Terre from here but less crowded, so glad we didn't stay in Cinque Terre and stayed the whole time in Rapallo. Rapallo has the most beautiful buildings with fresco's and the restaurants are also less expensive than Portafino and Cinque Terre. Loved Portafino , it is like stepping into a fairytale but it is only for the rich and famous, Rapallo catered to our needs. Our last night we ate at a restaurant called Sole, it was a little more expensive than the other restaurants but the food was outstanding, a truly incredible experience, the waiter was knowledgeable and five star, in fact all the staff were outstanding and we sat outside looking at the sea and the castle, really worth going and lovely end to our holiday. The weekly market was more like a flea market which was a little disappointing, still spent allot but allot of the goods seem to come from China and India. Will have great memories of Rapalla, our best stay in Italy as it made us feel relaxed.

This hotel is absolutely stunning and the history of the hotel is so interesting. Loved everything from the views to the room to the pool area. Loved the private walkway from the hotel down to the pool and the little pool bar down there. The staff was very friendly and the bars and restaurants were great. It is a very special place. Never been to a hotel quite like it.
Returning to Rapallo but this was our first stay at HOTEL VESUVIO and it was such a positive surprise and pleasure. Truly friendly and service minded family driven hotel, great central location on the beach promenade and a magnificent view of the sea. We will not hesitate to give this hotel our highest recommendations.
Helpful staff. Very central location, close to supermarket and marina. Parking is very tricky in Rapallo but hotel provides temporary permits for the guests which is very helpful in crowded Rapallo streets.
The hotel is clean, excellent location and well kept. Dinner on the terrace is a must. Liked the comfortable bed, great shower and the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend experience when in Rapallo.
