Hotel La Torre is within the walls of the hilltown of Castiglione del Lago, so you get to enjoy the vibe of the old town. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. They showed us where we could park our car for free within a short walk from the hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The nearby lake has wonderful walking/running paths and parks. We enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch in nearby Passignano; also worth checking out.
Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub.

Amazing peaceful relaxing place to stay, accommodation is exceptional, breakfast was included which was magnificent, they have a restaurant for dinner! Swimming pool was large with lots of chairs around! Views are incredible! Drove around the lake and stopped at lots of little towns,!

Beautiful old hilltop town with lovely restaurants and great views over the lake. We came to this town to relax after a busy time sightseeing, so relaxed by a pool during the day and ate out at night. If you are self catering, there are 3 big supermarkets in the newer part of the town. We walked everywhere as our hotel was with 30 mins of the old town.

The lake wasn’t fun to swim in as the water level was much lower than usual this year. It was also extremely hot end July. You really need an air conditioned car to get around
The best restaurant was a Schiacciata place just as you enter the main gate on the right, called Opio. Fresh ingredients and very personable service. Some of the other restaurants were v sub par. Impossible to get fresh fruit anywhere.

Clean and convenient location, nice host and great views. Many great restaurants and places to wander- small town but lovely and quaint. I would not have wanted to stay longer than we did but glad we went. I think this place was good value for the secure and clean location.

Very small town, with not much to do apart from eat & drink. If you want to totally switch off & have a very quiet chilled stay the this is the place to go.
Food was lovely, we found the most amazing restaurant call Squad, lovely staff & fab food.

Being in the quiet town was a great contrast to tourist heavy cities.
The outdoor swimming pool is off-site at their private villa..our kids loved the pool and the atmosphere.
This is an excellent place to stay in Castiglione del Lago, right in the centre of the town with several lovely restaurants on the doorstep. An excellent host who made us feel very welcome. Free parking about 3mins walk away. An excellent find & amazing value!
We were very satisfied with our stay in the hotel, customer service, quality of the hotel and athmosphere was excelent, big thank you for reservation in L'Acquario restaurant near to the hotel, the food and staff was great!
The hotel is in a good position for visiting Castiglione and the surrounding area. The atmosphere was very relaxed. There is a nice pool area to relax in the sunshine.
