My husband and I were so delighted with our recent relaxing stay at the luxurious Bay View Apartments. It definitely exceeded our expectations! The hosts have done an amazing job with this incredibly well appointed get away. Everything we needed was right at hand. It was well stocked with coffee, tea, cooking spices and wine and champagne were available. The decor, along with the view was gorgeous. There is a well stocked grocery store nearby and the airport is a mere 15 minutes away. There was easy communication with the host who was very friendly and thoughtful. They had the hot tub filled and ready for us upon check-in and even gave us a shout to let us know there were amazing Northern Lights happening one evening. We are already planning our next visit back and cannot recommend it highly enough!

I read other reviews that complained about the cost but I thought the hotel, given its location, was on par with the rest of prices in Iceland. The restaurant was expensive ($30 US for a hamburger) but the meal was tasty. Again, those are similar prices to the rest of the country. Our room was comfortable and we walked our heavy bags to the airport terminal. Bathroom was spacious and clean and we had an excellent night’s sleep. Staff was low key but helpful enough when we asked questions. I’d stay here again if I had a late night or early morning flight.

Gardur is a convenient location close to the airport. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable, The access was easy with no stairs for brining in luggage. I liked the small town and visiting the lighthouses nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again.

We stayed for six nights in one of the Gardur studios, which was a great place to spend our time in Iceland. The apartment was clean, fully equipped and cozy. We even managed to watch the northern lights from the window of our bedroom. Something that we will never forget. Margret is wonderful, always helpful in case you need. Thank you for everything
The Bay View apartment is a very special place, a big apartment with great style at the sea side. Unforgettable is the sight from the hot tub to the bay, but also the living room and kitchen are simply extraordinary. Gardur is a great base to visit the Reykjanes peninsula and as location nearby the airport. We loved it- and would like to come back!
We booked the apartments after a week in a Campervan and it couldn’t have been more perfect for a final night in Iceland!
The interior is SO stylish and everything is thought of, from the spices in the kitchen to extra toiletries in the bathroom!
Watching the snow come down whilst sat in the hot tub was the icing on the cake.
Excellent hotel, very clean and great interior design. Location is perfect with view over the ocean and the rooms were fantastic. Also, there is a very good restaurant located inside the hotel.
breakfast was good, location great- close to airport and we got great pictures of the northern lights over the lighthouse. The hotel was beautiful, all finished in wood and the room was large.
