It was a cute house though very small and the vintage decoration was interesting.

An absolutely lovely, small hotel, with small cozy rooms, and the most beautiful view you could imagine, a tall window overlooking the water. I was thoroughly enamored with this hotel and the room in particular, with it's slanted ceilings and breathtaking view.

We enjoyed staying there very much. We were there for several nights. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well appointed.
Nearby was a grocery store and a cafe which served excellent food.
There was a walking trail at the end of the street that went into the woods. From there we were able to watch the Northern Lights. Awesome!
In town was the Westfjords Adventure Tour Office. We had made reservations through them for a couple of wonderful tours.
We attended a Lutheran Church service in town. It was in Icelandic but some of the music was familiar (and all enjoyable).
Again, we enjoyed our stay there very much.

everything is geared to make more money, no spoons in the communal kitchen, very poorly equipped, it in their restaurant so they can make more money out of you, the room was over priced at least double then what it should be, not really guest friendly.

Best location, close to Latrabjarg cliffs, a beautiful old building with a great vintage vibe in a beautiful area. Rooms are simple but clean and cozy, not too small. A nice breakfast is also included in the price. The hotel has a nice bar and a resturant and the staff are extremely nice, we had a problem with the hot water and it got fixed in no time - many thanks! Would love to come back one day.
When you arrive the buildings look a little underwhelming but the setting is stunning and this is actually a very good hotel that gets a lot right. There is somewhere to dry wet clothes, a hose to wash down your car (or in our case bicycle), a washing machine, a decent restaurant and bar and a very good kitchen on their campsite. One of the best places we stayed in Iceland.
Utterly superb location, close to amazing beach and not far from bird cliffs (go early evening when the puffins come back). Something of faded glory about the hotel but that was no problem.
Massive room allowed us to sort kit. Decent curtains kept out the 24hr daylight unlike most hotel rooms.
Camping area has its own kitchen building where we cooked.
If you are going to Latrabjark, the location of the accommodation is good. Otherwise, it is at the end of a gravel road with difficult access. The car should have four-wheel drive and high ground clearance if you plan to get to the hotel smoothly.
