We like the staff at the pub, normally we have stayed in the family room before. That room was lovely with a very comfy bed. Breakfast and evening meal were fantastic… slight mix up with deserts but it was busy. In general the rooms are beautiful… decorated well etc, everything you could need.

Breakfast was very good, very good service. Really good atmosphere on New Year’s Eve in the bar area. Meal in the hotel on New Year’s Eve was lovely too.

Staff were lovely, good location, good value for money, comfy beds and nicely decorated rooms. I really liked the fridge in the room and the fresh milk machine - what a good idea!

The hotel was perfectly situated for visiting our friend and in an absolutely stunning location. We were greeted by front of house 'Bassel' and he very kindly carried our bags up to our rooms. Unfortunately, the wet weather meant we were unable to explore the grounds until the final morning. Breakfast was delicious and the dining room is beautifully decorated (with a separate area for those with dogs). All staff were cheerful and I spent a cozy afternoon of catching up with work commitments in the peaceful library.
Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers en suite bedrooms and TVs.

Small village with few shops, streamer made access to other areas on lake easy. Walks well detailed and regular public transport to other parts of the Lake District. We parked the car when we arrived and never touched it till we left.

It was central. Managed to park ok. Loved the decor.
It was central. Managed to park ok. Loved the decor. Inside you had to wait to be seated but there was cosy alcove seating and you had priority over non residents. As well as the out door seating area at the front there was also a covered out door seating area at the back.
Food was great! Only problem was the size! Very generous.

Close to Ullswater, walks and boat trips just a walk away. The hotel was lovely and clean, staff were more than helpful -including the extra sausage for my dog at breakfast and help when I was arriving in an unfamiliar area much later than I planned. Excellent, would highly recommend.

Lovely country house, stunning interior, comfortable beds, relaxing bath, tasty breakfast and lovely welcoming hosts. A stone's throw from Ullswater and the village of Pooley Bridge with nice pubs for food & drink and lovely walks around. On a rainy day visited the Rheged discovery centre where my little girl enjoyed time in the soft play. Visited Aira Force waterfalls (National Trust) - definitely worth going early as there is limited parking. Would highly recommend this place, we had a lovely stay.
