Le Portanel is conveniently situated within walking distance of the Town of Eymet and less than 1k from some excellent walking and cycling routes. Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a private bath. The breakfast featured coffee/tea, warm croissants, a nice selection of fresh fruit, a selection of cereal/granola, and an option of eggs cooked to order. We had a Croque Madame, which was outstanding! The Portanel has a private, off street, parking area and they even allowed us to store our bikes in their garage! We really appreciated the time that Mark took to share his knowledge of the area.
Mark and Tom are wonderful hosts!

Eymet is a fantastic Hamlet/Bastide. Its got a year round life and activity, Great architecture great choices for shops, restaurants, bars and your every day amenities and it has a great mix of quiet days to lively days of markets and stalls.
We have been 3 times now and we have delayed Florida once already to go back to Eymet.

Emet was lovely but if you are staying longer than a couple of nights you would be better to have a car to travel to other places. Some lovely places close by to visit but would need a car public transport is very poor here.

Eymet has a supermarket, a good range of bars, restaurants and a few independent shops. Together with the weekly markets, it meant that we could stay local whenever we chose to do so. The area around the town is beautiful, lots of vineyards and wine caves where the owners are only too happy for you to try and then buy.

Eymet is lovely, it’s busy and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to easily last you a week. There are two markets in the summer one Tuesday evening and one Thursday am both get very busy. It is a short drive to Bergerac which is lovely. There are loads of other towns near which have lovely cafes etc. You can easily spend two weeks and not get bored.

The town centre is varied and interesting.
The town centre is varied and interesting. A short visit to the Bastion and centre is worth it. Take in a cocktail or a meal in a wonderful location. A market on Thursday of local producers is worth the time.

The hosts Jean Louis & Catherine were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us.
The location was only a short walk from the main square in Eymet.
Our accommodation was spacious with the best bed ever !
Breakfast was superb - served in the most quaint little courtyard.
We will definitely return in a heartbeat - highly recommended.
Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable 😊
The location is superb. Private and secluded, yet just a few minutes away from the shops, bars and restaurants in Eymet. The views across the open countryside are beautiful. The heated pool has gentle steps for easy access. Luxurious and comfortably furnished throughout, the air conditioning is welcome when the weather is hot outside.
Lovely hotel, individual rooms, comfy bed, excellent breakfast, a short stroll to the main square, and easy parking. Mark and Paul are excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, full of helpful tips and advice where to go, and great company to boot. Their dog Toby was an additional pleasure.
Facilities were excellent, our room, the garden, the pool, all were superb. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and provided excellent choices for breakfast each morning. The property was a short walk from the centre of Eymet, which is a good centre for visiting other parts of the region.
The host, Christine was welcoming, friendly, informative and always available to help. The location was excellent , just a small walk to the centre of Eymet. Breakfast was good and coffee excellent.
