Le Taruquet, hotel in Eymet

Offering an outdoor pool and a and sun terrace, Chalet ou Chambre independante chez l'habitant offers accommodation in Eymet in the Aquitaine Region, 50 km from Saint-Émilion.

Sylvain and his wife gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. There was easy and secure parking, which we particularly liked as we had a bike rack and bikes attached to our car. We appreciated the peace and quiet of the apartment with access to the garden and pool, even though we didn't actually use it. The property was just a five-minute drive into town.

    Eymet is a fantastic Hamlet/Bastide.

Eymet is a fantastic Hamlet/Bastide. Its got a year round life and activity, Great architecture great choices for shops, restaurants, bars and your every day amenities and it has a great mix of quiet days to lively days of markets and stalls. We have been 3 times now and we have delayed Florida once already to go back to Eymet.

Emet was lovely but if you are staying longer than a couple of nights you would be better to have a car to travel to other places. Some lovely places close by to visit but would need a car public transport is very poor here.

Eymet has a supermarket, a good range of bars, restaurants and a few independent shops. Together with the weekly markets, it meant that we could stay local whenever we chose to do so. The area around the town is beautiful, lots of vineyards and wine caves where the owners are only too happy for you to try and then buy.

Eymet is lovely, it’s busy and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to easily last you a week. There are two markets in the summer one Tuesday evening and one Thursday am both get very busy. It is a short drive to Bergerac which is lovely. There are loads of other towns near which have lovely cafes etc. You can easily spend two weeks and not get bored.

The town centre is varied and interesting. A short visit to the Bastion and centre is worth it. Take in a cocktail or a meal in a wonderful location. A market on Thursday of local producers is worth the time.

Eymet is a very pretty Bastide town with a lovely central square. Many fabulous restaurants & quaint shops. Lots of friendly locals including English. Market day on Thursday morning is a must whether to buy local produce or just meet up with friends for coffee.

Leeann was an excellent host, was exceptionally knowledgeable about Eymet and the area and makes superb apple muffins. The apartment was gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and large, the kitchen/dining/lounge was perfect. The bonus of an air con was greatly appreciated due to the hot weather. The location was within a very short walk to the centre, restaurants, cafés and the market. We always managed to park outside.

Mark and Tom run this fantastic accommodation with real care and attentiveness. Lovely big, bright rooms and a nice outdoor area with pool to match. A nice breakfast selection and lots of great thoughtful touches throughout (chilled water in the fridge etc, mobile air con unit in room etc). Located just a 5-6 minute stroll from the Eymet town centre and square.

Lovely hotel, individual rooms, comfy bed, excellent breakfast, a short stroll to the main square, and easy parking. Mark and Paul are excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, full of helpful tips and advice where to go, and great company to boot. Their dog Toby was an additional pleasure.

Jean-Louis and Catherine are excellent hosts. We were staying at 52 Eymet to see wedding venues and they made our whole weekend really special! The breakfast was delicious with fresh pastries and homemade jams. Jean-Louis went above and beyond to show us Eymet and all it's charm! Can't wait to come back
